Pops & Flames is built on respect, safety, and purpose-driven participation.
Members and guests are expected to act respectfully, avoid harassment, and support a welcoming environment for all riders, families, partners, and supporters. Safety, dignity, and mutual respect are central to the Pops & Flames experience.
Unsafe behaviour, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive conduct may result in removal from events or community spaces in order to protect everyone involved.
Pops & Flames values riders of all experience levels and all types of motorcycles. We welcome less experienced riders, newer members, and riders on smaller-capacity bikes, because we believe every rider deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and ride safely within the community.
At the same time, riders must also be realistic about the different demands of group riding. Smaller engine bikes may not keep the same pace as larger machines in certain conditions, and this can create gaps or slower sections during a ride. That does not mean a rider is unwelcome or less valued; it simply means that understanding, patience, and good judgment are essential.
When riding together, everyone is expected to respect the pace of the group, communicate clearly, and make safe choices that protect both the individual rider and the riders around them. We encourage riders to ride within their ability, remain aware of their surroundings, and understand that different bikes and different experience levels require different levels of patience and planning.
Our focus is not to judge riders by the size of their bike, but to ensure that every ride is conducted with respect, responsibility, and awareness of the people and machines involved.
It is important to understand that Pops & Flames is not a riding school, academy, or formal training institution. We are a riding community built around shared experiences, discipline, respect, and growth. Our events are not designed as structured lessons for riders to come and learn basic riding skills from scratch.
While riders may gain exposure, confidence, and insight from attending our events, it remains the responsibility of each individual to improve their own riding skill, experience, and judgment over time. Pops & Flames cannot be held liable for any rider's slow progress, lack of preparation, or personal development while waiting for an event or opportunity to arise.
Our rides are meant to create real-world exposure and encourage riders to grow at their own pace. We encourage newer riders to begin with smaller groups before joining larger group rides, and to approach each ride with humility, respect for the road, and awareness of their own limitations.
Our Practice & Mentorship sessions, held every two to three months, are not riding classes. They are opportunities for our riders to invest in their skills, sharpen their awareness, and support one another through drills and practical development. These sessions are offered out of goodwill and commitment to the community, not because Pops & Flames owes lessons to anyone.
We also create opportunities for riders to experience different roles during rides, including swapping positions and taking turns as marshals or ride leaders, so they can better understand the responsibilities involved in guiding a group safely.
Owning a motorcycle is not a status symbol; riding one responsibly requires skill, discipline, and practice. The road teaches people quickly that real riders are those who continue to learn, improve, and respect the responsibility that comes with riding.
Pops & Flames is a community for motorcycle owners and riders. We speak one language, and that language is built on respect, accountability, and a shared understanding of what it means to be part of this space.
When an individual expresses interest in joining Pops & Flames, whether they are a non-club rider, a club member, a member of a forum alliance, or part of another movement, they are first given a brief introduction about who we are, what we stand for, and the general rules of the community.
Following that, every prospective member is required to complete a consent form. This form is essential for collecting rider information that may be needed in the event of an emergency during rides or events, ensuring faster response and emergency assistance when necessary.
Prospective members are also expected to formally introduce themselves in the group by sharing their photo and their bike photo. This helps build familiarity, trust, and a sense of belonging within the community.
We are building a community that is not shaped by negativity, unnecessary competition, or the typical toxic behaviour often seen in other biking spaces. We do not participate in bad reputation, drama, or disrespectful conduct. We are strict about following procedures and treating everyone fairly and equally.
We also understand that not every individual will fit comfortably within our culture or environment. If that is the case, you are free to leave the WhatsApp group or step away from Pops & Flames without any issue. Our community is built on mutual respect, and people are welcome to move on if the environment is not right for them.
Our WhatsApp group serves as the main space for chatting, laughing, bonding, sharing knowledge, and staying connected. From there, an announcements channel is used for final and approved communication so that important information is shared clearly and consistently.
Pops & Flames does not require any form of funds to be part of the community. Membership is not based on payment, subscriptions, or any financial contribution.
The only time money may be mentioned in connection with Pops & Flames is when members contribute toward something that benefits the community, such as approved charity events, or when sponsorship funds are received to support a shared goal or initiative.
Members of the community are expected to refrain from borrowing money from one another, as personal financial matters can easily create conflict and tension that may negatively affect the unity of the group.
Pops & Flames will not be part of any bike stokvels, pyramid schemes, or similar money-based arrangements. We choose to avoid financial involvement that could compromise trust, transparency, and community unity.
To participate in our rides and community activities, members are expected to meet basic eligibility requirements. This includes owning a functional motorcycle, holding at least a learner's licence or driver's licence, and riding a legitimate motorcycle. Any rider found to be using a stolen motorcycle will be banned from riding with us.
We also do not tolerate theft or the possession of stolen items or accessories within the community. We expect members to uphold real brotherhood and sisterhood, and anyone found or proven to be involved in theft will be exposed and removed from the community.
